Urlacher says Moss is welcome in Chicago

The Great Randy Moss Sweepstakes could be decided in the next 24-30 hours, and until then speculation is fueling the chatter as most teams are keeping quiet on their intentions.

The Chicago Bears are No. 17 on the current waiver wire priority list and an unlikely destination for Moss, according to Vaugh McClure of The Chicago Tribune. Who knows if they even get that chance, but at least one player would be open to having the wide receiver as a teammate.

“It wouldn’t hurt my feelings, I’ll tell you that much,” Brian Urlacher said during an interview on ‘The Dan Patrick Show’. “He’s tough to defend, and I’m not too sad that the Vikings let him go because we play them in two weeks.”

Urlacher was also asked if it is important that players get along with their teammates.

“I think so,” Urlacher said. “Since I’ve been in the NFL, we’ve never had a problem in the locker room with guys or any one guy. I’ve always gotten along with most everyone in our locker room.”

For what it’s worth, we’re not hearing Chicago as one of the hot destinations for Moss, so as much as Urlacher would be OK with it, this seems like a long shot.
