Moss situation a mess for fantasy owners

The Minnesota Vikings and Randy Moss have parted ways after a very short reunion, and the move has fantasy owners up in arms.

The absence of the talented wideout has all but ruined the value of Tom Brady and Wes Welker in New England. Now that he’s out of the Vikings offense, the stock of Brett Favre and Percy Harvin are heading south.

In fact, I’d be dropping Favre if a quarterback like Matthew Stafford or Ryan Fitzpatrick is still on the waiver wire. Owners shouldn’t make as drastic a move with Harvin, but his numbers seem destined to slide.

The Florida product is a perfect fit for the slot, but he could be moved to the outside with Moss no longer in the mix. That will mean more double teams and fewer fantasy points.

On a positive note, Visanthe Shiancoe should see his targets increase in the coming weeks. Look for him to re-emerge as a No. 1 fantasy tight end. Owners in larger leagues should also look to add Bernard Berrian, who figures to start until Sidney Rice is back.

Speaking of Rice, he’s a nice add-and-stash player if you have the roster room.
